What stays on your phone

Pitch Loop keeps nothing after you close it. Your recordings are held only in your phone’s memory while the app is looping them. They are never saved to a file. Your slider settings are not saved either; they start fresh each time you open the app.

None of it is sent anywhere. The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send data.

Because nothing is stored, there is nothing to include in an Android backup.

What is collected or shared

Nothing is collected. Nothing is shared or sold. Pitch Loop contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no marketing tools.

Children

Pitch Loop is not directed at children and collects nothing that identifies anyone.

Permissions

Microphone. Used to record what you say so Pitch Loop can play it back at the speed and pitch you choose. The app asks when you first open it, and again when you tap Start or Grant permission if you said no. It records only while the app is open on your screen, and it stops when you leave the app.

Pitch Loop’s install listing also includes the older storage permissions (read and write storage). Pitch Loop does not use them. It never reads or saves files, and on current versions of Android they have no effect.

Your rights over your data

Pitch Loop stores nothing, so there is nothing to see, correct or delete.

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act

We process no personal data through Pitch Loop. Your voice is handled only on your phone, in memory, and never reaches us.

Nomination: you can nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or are unable to act (section 14 of the Act). Write to the address below.
Grievances: write to the address below. We reply within 30 days. If we do not resolve your grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version is published at the same address before the change takes effect.
